Man made objects in Solar orbit

Non-exhaustive list of artificial objects that are currently orbiting the Sun (or heliocentric orbit) at various distances and inclinations. While most of them were sent there intentionally (e.g. space probes), others are stranded because of technical failures (e.g. Mars 7 or Phobos 1). A large number of spent stages and mission-related debris are also orbiting the Sun.

Over 430 artificial objects have been identified. Spacecraft that are still in their systemic context, i.e. still operational, are highlighted in bold.
